Bring your own AI agents: one connection to the whole business
Mojobase gives your own AI agents one connection to the whole business. One MCP server reaches email, calendar, documents, tasks, customers, numbers and the Handbook, with one search across all of them. An agent acts as the person who connected it, under the same rules as their screens. Agents are free, and everything they do shows in Activity.

Why give your AI agent one connection to the whole business?
Because an agent is only as useful as what it can reach. Connecting an assistant to your mail, your calendar, your files and your task app one by one means four connections, four sign-ins and four sets of rules, and none of them knows about the others. Mojobase is one connection: the agent reaches every app at once, with one search across all of them, so “prepare me for Thursday’s call” can read the emails, the open invoice and the notes together.
Which AI agents work with Mojobase?
Any agent that speaks MCP, the open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools. That includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Hermes or your own setup. Step-by-step guides:
Every agent connects the same way, with your company’s address or a key from Settings → Connect an agent.
How do you connect an agent to Mojobase?
With your company’s MCP address and either a sign-in or a key. Keys work today in every client that takes one; claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors sign in with OAuth once it’s switched on for your company.
| Client | How it connects |
|---|---|
| claude.ai and Claude Desktop | Add your company’s address as a custom connector, then sign in |
| ChatGPT | Add your company’s address as a connector, then sign in |
| Claude Code | One claude mcp add command with your key |
| Codex | One codex mcp add command, with your key in an environment variable |
| Any other MCP client | Your company’s address and your key as a Bearer token |
The exact commands are on one MCP server for your whole business. Each person can have up to ten keys. A key is shown once, only a fingerprint of it is stored, and it can be switched off at once from Settings → Connect an agent.
What can an agent do in each app?
It gets the same tools each app’s own screens use, passed through unchanged, so each app’s rules still hold. A few of them:
| App | Some of its tools |
|---|---|
mail_search, mail_thread, mail_attachment_text, draft_reply, draft_new, draft_schedule | |
| Calendar | calendar_list, calendar_find_times, calendar_create, calendar_change, calendar_hold, calendar_notes |
| Documents | search_files, read_item, doc_create, doc_propose_edit, items_propose_move |
| Tasks | tasks_list, task_quick_add, task_update, task_complete, suggestions_list |
| Customers | customers_find_people, customers_person, customers_add_person, customers_update_company |
| Numbers | numbers_summary, numbers_daily, numbers_campaigns |
| Handbook | knowledge_search, knowledge_read, knowledge_update_page, knowledge_business_profile |
| Every app at once | mojobase_search |
An app the person can’t open, or one switched off for the company, simply isn’t there. More on the server itself on one MCP server for your whole business.

What rules do agents follow?
- They act as a person. An agent has the role and apps of whoever connected it, never more, checked on every request.
- Each app’s rules hold. A calendar change with guests waits for a person’s Approve; Documents edits arrive as suggestions unless that kind is on Auto; the Handbook turns settings changes into approval requests; Customers lets agents add and change people, never delete them.
- Everything is recorded. Every tool call shows in Activity as that person, with the agent’s name and model, such as “claude/opus”.
- AI-off stays off. A mailbox, calendar, channel or folder with AI switched off never reaches an agent.
- Outside text is evidence. What an agent reads in an email or a web page is information, never an instruction it has to follow.
How do agents work alongside the team?
As members, under their own names. In Team chat, Mojobase’s AI and each connected agent appear as members you can mention or message, and a personal agent’s posts say who it acts for, such as “Claude for James”. They answer when asked, and their own ideas go privately to the person who wrote the message. Mojobase’s scheduled runs are agents too: the Morning sweep and the Friday review use the same MCP server, limited to reading and to drafts, suggestions and approval requests.
Are you an AI agent reading this?
Start at /llms.txt. Every page on this site is also Markdown: add .md to its address. To add your user to the waitlist, POST their address to /api/waitlist, as described in the waitlist docs and the OpenAPI description. Only add an address its owner asked you to add.
Questions people ask
What is an AI agent for business?
An AI agent is an AI that can take actions, not just answer: search your mail, book a meeting, add a task, draft a reply. For a business, the hard part is giving it access to the right tools under the right rules. Mojobase does that with one connection to every app, acting as the person who connected it.
Do agents cost extra?
No. Agents are never seats. What their work costs shows up as AI use: on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription when it’s your own assistant, or inside your company’s allowance when it’s Mojobase’s.
What can an agent do in Mojobase?
Anything the person who connected it can do, within the apps they may open: read and draft email, find times and manage private calendar time, search and suggest edits to documents, manage tasks, look up and update customers, read the numbers and keep the Handbook current.
How do I connect an agent?
In Settings → Connect an agent, copy your company’s address for claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors, or make a key for Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients. A key is shown once, and you can switch it off at any moment.
Can an agent do things I can’t?
No. An agent has exactly the role and apps of the person who connected it, checked again on every request. If your role changes or you leave the company, your agents change or stop with you.
Can an agent sign me up for Mojobase?
Yes. Ask it to read mojobase.ai/llms.txt and add you to the waitlist. It sends one request, and you confirm by clicking the link we email you.
