Which should you choose, Mojobase or HubSpot?
Choose HubSpot if
- You run marketing campaigns, landing pages and lead scoring, and want them next to the CRM.
- You have a sales team that works a pipeline with deal stages and forecasts.
- You want a free CRM for one or two people and don't need the AI yet.
Choose Mojobase if
- Your team is small enough that the same people sell, support and send the invoices: Mojobase is built for 1 to 25 people, and it works well for teams up to 100.
- You want the AI to see your email, calendar, tasks and numbers, not just the CRM.
- You'd rather have one price per person than hubs, seats and credits to add up.
What's the real difference between Mojobase and HubSpot?
HubSpot starts from the CRM and adds hubs around it; Mojobase starts from the work itself. In HubSpot, email and meetings are connected from outside and logged against contacts. In Mojobase, the email, calendar, tasks and support inbox live in the same place, so the customer record is filled in by the work rather than by someone keeping it up to date.
That changes what the AI can do. When a customer asks about an invoice, Mojobase's AI can read the email, the invoice in Numbers, the call notes in Calendar and the delivery in Tasks, and draft the right answer. An AI inside a CRM only sees what was logged there.
Which one costs less for a team of five?
For five people, Mojobase costs $39 plus four people at $25, which is $139 a month for every app with AI included. HubSpot's Starter Customer Platform is $7 a seat a month billed yearly for new customers, $35 a month for five, against a $20 list price, before Service Hub Professional for support at $90 a seat billed yearly, with a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee. Most small teams also pay separately for email, chat and documents alongside HubSpot.
Where is HubSpot the better choice?
HubSpot is the better choice for marketing-led businesses. Its marketing tools, website pages, lead scoring and pipeline reports are deep, and Mojobase doesn't try to match them. If your growth comes from campaigns and a sales team working stages, HubSpot fits that shape. If your business runs on email, meetings and getting the work done, Mojobase fits better.
Questions people ask
Is Mojobase cheaper than HubSpot?
It depends what you'd buy. HubSpot's free tools cost nothing for two users, and the Starter Customer Platform lists at $20 a seat a month. Mojobase costs $39 for the first person and $25 for each after, but that includes email, calendar, tasks, documents, support, numbers and the AI, which HubSpot sells separately or not at all.
Does Mojobase have a sales pipeline like HubSpot?
No. Mojobase tracks relationships, not deal stages: who you talk to, what's owed, who's gone quiet and the next meeting, filled in from your email and calendar. Teams that forecast from a pipeline are better served by HubSpot.
Can I move from HubSpot to Mojobase?
You don't need to export contacts. Connect your mailboxes and calendar, and Mojobase finds the people you work with and groups them by company. Notes kept only in HubSpot stay there.
Does HubSpot's AI cost extra?
HubSpot meters its AI in HubSpot Credits, bought in packs or pay as you go, and each paid tier includes some: 500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional. In Mojobase the AI is included in the price, with your choice of model, or on your own.
