Publishing your docs
Turn any Handbook collection into a website for your customers: product docs, a help center, policies. Open the collection's ⋯ menu and choose Publish as a website….
What goes out
Only pages marked Approved are published, and only when someone presses Publish. Drafts and your other collections stay private. When you edit a page, or AI does, the website changes on your next Publish. The screen lists what goes out, what changed and what to check first.
AI can't publish on its own: it asks, and an owner approves. If you'd rather, switch on Let agents publish websites in Handbook Settings: then an agent you've connected can publish a website, change its address or take it down when you ask it to. Activity shows which agent did it. Your own domain and your free address's name stay a person's to change.
Your address
Every company gets a free address with nothing to set up, like acme-widgets.mojobase.page. Each website you publish has its own path there, like /docs or /help. It comes with HTTPS, and it's ready as soon as you press Publish.
To change the name, press Change under Your address. Every website of your company moves to the new address, and links to the old one stop working.
Use your own domain
You can put a website at an address of yours, like help.yourcompany.com. It's included in your plan.
- Under Use your own domain, type the address and press Add.
- Sign in where you manage your domain, usually where you bought it, and add the record the screen shows: a CNAME named
helpthat points tosites.mojobase.page. - That's all. Mojobase checks by itself every few minutes and sets up HTTPS. It usually takes a few minutes, sometimes up to a day.
When the status says Working, press Publish. Your website moves to your domain, and your free address sends visitors on to it.
Use a name under your domain, like help. or docs.. The domain itself (yourcompany.com) can't point elsewhere by one record.
Inside your own website
If your website already runs on Cloudflare, you can put the docs inside it, like yourcompany.com/docs. Only the docs' addresses change. The rest of your website stays as it is.
- Under Where it's published, open Advanced: under your own website and choose Cloudflare Worker.
- Type the Address, like
https://yourcompany.com/docs, and your Cloudflare account ID. - Press Connect your Cloudflare account and follow the steps it shows to make an API token in Cloudflare, with three permissions: Account · Workers Scripts · Edit, Zone · Workers Routes · Edit, and Zone · Zone · Read, for your website's domain only. Paste the token in.
- When it says Connected, press Publish.
Your token is sealed with your company's own key. Nobody can see it again, and Mojobase uses it only to publish and take down your websites. You can Replace or Remove it at any time.
For AI tools and search engines
Every page also has a Markdown copy (its address plus .md), and each website has llms.txt, llms-full.txt and sitemap.xml, so AI tools and search engines find your docs.
