Which should you choose, Mojobase or Todoist?

Choose Todoist if

  • You want the best standalone to-do app, free to start, at $5 a month for Pro.
  • You like board layouts, saved filter views, comments on tasks and voice capture with Ramble.
  • You want a team workspace for up to 1,000 members at $8 a user.
  • Your email, calendar and documents live elsewhere and you're happy to forward what matters.

Choose Mojobase if

  • Most of your tasks arrive by email, and you want them found without forwarding anything.
  • You'd like tasks to sit beside the calendar, the customer and the invoice they're about. Mojobase is built for 1 to 25 people, and it works well for teams up to 100.
  • You use Todoist today and want to bring every project, label and recurring task across in one import.

What's the real difference between Mojobase and Todoist?

Todoist is a to-do app, and a very good one. Smart Quick Add, recurring due dates, reminders, labels, filters and list and board layouts make it fast to capture and organise what you need to do, and Todoist Assist adds AI for filters, tasks and forwarded email.

Mojobase's Tasks was built to work the way Todoist does, with the same Quick Add syntax and the same Inbox, Today, Upcoming and Projects. The difference is where it lives. In Mojobase, the task list is next to your email, calendar, customers and invoices, so the AI doesn't wait for you to type or forward anything: a customer email that asks for a revised quote by Thursday becomes a suggested task, linked to the email, before you've finished reading it.

How does the AI compare?

Todoist's AI helps you capture. Ramble turns speech into structured tasks with dates, labels and priorities; Task Assist and Email Assist turn text and forwarded emails into tasks; Filter Assist writes filters from a description; and photos, screenshots, PDFs or meeting notes become task lists. Todoist says it runs its AI on its own infrastructure, with providers that have committed not to train on your data.

Mojobase's AI helps you capture and close. It suggests tasks from email that holds real work, proposes a project, label or date for anything in the Inbox, and "Plan my day" gives a short focus list with a reason for each. When your sent mail shows a task is done, it suggests ticking it off. Ask mode waits for a click; Auto mode applies changes to your own tasks straight away, with a daily summary and Undo.

Which one costs less?

Todoist costs less. Beginner is free, Pro is $5 a month billed yearly or $7 monthly, and Business is $8 a user billed yearly, so $40 a month for five, or $10 monthly. Mojobase is $39 a month for one person and $139 for five, or $29 and $105 for the first 10 companies.

For that, Mojobase includes email on your domain, team chat, calendar, documents, a CRM, a support inbox and Stripe invoice tracking, so it's the better buy only if you'd use those too.

Where is Todoist the better choice?

Todoist is the better choice if you want a to-do app and nothing else. Its board, calendar and table layouts, saved filters, comments, Ramble voice capture, photo and PDF capture, command line, 90 or more integrations and a free plan go beyond Mojobase's Tasks, which shows lists only and has no comments or saved filters. Todoist also has an official MCP server and connectors for Claude and ChatGPT on every plan. Choose Mojobase when the tasks are mostly the result of email, meetings and customers, and you want one place for all of it.
