Google Calendar integration

Mojobase and Google Calendar

Connect Google Calendar to Mojobase once, on the same Google screen as Gmail, and pick the calendars to bring in. Mojobase syncs them both ways, so the AI can find free time across the team, hold slots you've offered and prepare each meeting from the email behind it, while Google Calendar keeps working on your phone.

What does Mojobase read from Google Calendar?

  • The list of calendars on your Google account, including ones shared with you, so you can pick which to bring in
  • Every event on the calendars you pick, with guests, replies, repeats, places and descriptions, kept as a copy that's synced both ways
  • Changes in Google within five minutes, and Mojobase's own changes sent to Google within seconds
  • Busy times only for teammates, unless a calendar's owner shares more

Used by: Calendar, the AI's scheduled runs, Quick actions and your own agents over MCP.

How do you connect Google Calendar to Mojobase?

  1. In Calendar Settings → Your calendars…, choose Google. In the Connect your Google account form, select Google Calendar and click Continue.
  2. Approve on Google's screen. Mojobase asks for the parts you selected: calendars, and Gmail too if you selected it.
  3. Pick the calendars to bring in. Each one becomes a calendar in Mojobase, with two switches: what teammates see (busy times by default) and whether the AI may read it.
  4. Keep using Google Calendar as before. Events you add in either place show in both.

What can you ask once Google Calendar is connected?

  • “Find 30 minutes with Ana next week, inside both our working hours.”
  • “Offer Dana three times on Thursday or Friday and hold them until she picks.”
  • “What's on tomorrow, and what do I need to read before each meeting?”
  • “Move my Friday 4pm to Monday morning; it's just me in it.”

What should you know about Google Calendar itself?

  • How apps stay in sync: After a full copy, an app asks only for changes since its last sync token; a 410 response means the token is invalid and the app must copy everything again1
  • Sharing levels: See only free/busy (hide details), See event details, Make changes, and Make changes and manage sharing2
  • Google's own Calendar MCP server: In Developer Preview for members of the Google Workspace Developer Preview Program, set up through a Google Cloud project3

What does Mojobase add to Google Calendar?

An assistant that knows why each meeting exists. Google Calendar holds the time and the guests; Mojobase sees the email thread that set the meeting up, the customer's record, the open tasks and the notes from last time. So "prepare me for tomorrow" comes back with what each meeting is about and what you promised, and "find a time with Ana" checks her busy times and working hours as well as yours.

How does the AI change events on a synced Google calendar?

It changes what's only yours and asks about the rest. The AI adds or moves an event with no guests straight away, recorded in Activity with Undo. Anything that reaches other people, such as moving a meeting with guests or adding someone, becomes a proposal you approve. Holds on times you've offered someone are private, and the one they pick turns into the real event.

What doesn't the Google Calendar connection do?

It doesn't replace Google for invitations. Replying to an invitation and creating Meet links happen in Google Calendar, and sync brings the result across. Changes made in Google take up to five minutes to arrive, since Mojobase checks every five minutes, whenever you open the page and before a booking page shows free times. A calendar that's read-only for you in Google is read-only in Mojobase too.

Questions people ask

Does Mojobase sync with Google Calendar both ways?

Yes. An event you add or move in Mojobase appears in Google Calendar within seconds, and changes made in Google reach Mojobase within five minutes. If the same event changed in both places, the newer change wins.

Will Mojobase email my guests when it changes an event?

No. Syncing never emails anyone. Mojobase updates Google quietly, and when the AI wants to change a meeting that has guests, it asks you first, as a proposal you approve or dismiss.

Can Mojobase add Google Meet links or answer invitations?

Not from Mojobase. Create the Meet link and accept or decline invitations in Google Calendar; the event, its link and your reply then sync into Mojobase within a few minutes.

Is Google Calendar the same as Mojobase Calendar?

No. Mojobase Calendar is its own calendar, with booking links, holds, meeting notes and an AI that proposes changes. Connecting Google Calendar brings your Google calendars into it, so you can use either one day to day.

What happens if I disconnect Google Calendar?

Mojobase deletes its copies of your Google calendars and its sealed permission; your events in Google Calendar aren't touched. Choosing Disconnect Google account instead also withdraws the permission at Google, for Gmail as well.
