Google Ads integration

Mojobase and Google Ads

Connect Google Ads to Mojobase in Settings → Connections, and Numbers shows spend by campaign and day beside Shopify and Amazon sales and your other ad platforms. The read-only connection keeps Google's reported conversion value separate from real sales. Each morning the AI compares spend with sales and names the campaigns behind any change.

What does Mojobase read from Google Ads?

  • Spend by campaign and day, in your ad account's time zone
  • The conversion value Google Ads reports, shown as Google's own claim beside your real sales
  • Campaign names, to say which ones moved
  • The last 7 days again on every sync, since ad platforms revise recent days

Used by: Numbers, the AI's scheduled runs, Quick actions and your own agents over MCP.

How do you connect Google Ads to Mojobase?

  1. Open Settings → Connections → Connect a source in Mojobase (owners only) and choose Google Ads.
  2. Sign in with a Google account that can see the ad account, and pick the account.
  3. Approve read-only access. Mojobase asks for nothing that can change bids, budgets or ads.
  4. Open Numbers: Google's spend and campaigns appear under Ads, next to Meta and Amazon Ads.

What can you ask once Google Ads is connected?

  • “What did Google Ads spend yesterday, and what did we sell?”
  • “Which Google campaigns cost the most this month against last?”
  • “Is search spend rising faster than Shopify sales?”
  • “Make a task to review the campaigns that doubled their spend this week.”

What should you know about Google Ads itself?

  • Google Ads API access: Managed per Google Cloud project: Test for test accounts, then Explorer, Basic and Standard for production accounts1
  • Explorer access: Reviewed automatically in most cases, for up to 2,880 operations a day against production accounts2
  • Standard access: Unlimited daily operations; reviews typically take 10 business days3
  • Google's own Google Ads MCP server: Open source, read-only in its current release, run locally over stdio or deployed over Streamable HTTP4

Why see Google Ads spend in Mojobase?

Because the morning question is "is the spend paying off?", and Google Ads can only answer half of it. Numbers sets Google's spend beside Meta and Amazon Ads and against real sales from Shopify and Amazon, measured the same way every day. The AI reads that page with your email and tasks, so a spike in search spend arrives with the campaigns behind it and a task to look at them.

How do you connect Google Ads to Numbers?

An owner opens Settings → Connections → Connect a source, chooses Google Ads and signs in with a Google account that can see the ad account. Mojobase handles the API connection, so you don't need a Cloud project or developer credentials. Grant read-only access and pick the account; Numbers then shows campaign spend and Google's reported conversion value beside your store sales. Bids, budgets, keywords and ads stay in Google Ads, under your control.

Should you use Google's Google Ads MCP server or Mojobase?

Use Google's if you want an agent to query one Google Ads account in depth with the Google Ads Query Language, and you can set up a Cloud project and credentials. Use Mojobase if you want the agent to see Google beside your other ad platforms and your sales, with nothing to install. Both only read.

Questions people ask

Can Mojobase change my Google Ads campaigns?

No. The connection only reads spend, results and campaign names. It never changes bids, budgets, keywords or ads; those stay in Google Ads, where you or your agency manage them.

Do I need a Google Cloud project to connect?

No. An owner opens Settings → Connections → Connect a source, chooses Google Ads and signs in with a Google account that can see the ad account. Grant read-only access, and Numbers reads spend, campaigns and Google's reported conversion value. Mojobase handles the API connection.

Why is Mojobase's return on ad spend lower than Google's?

Google counts the conversions it thinks its ads caused, and so do Meta and Amazon, often for the same sale. Mojobase divides your real sales by all your ad spend, so the number is the business's, not a platform's.

Does it work with a manager account my agency runs?

Connect the ad account itself with a Google login that can see it. Mojobase reads that account's spend and campaigns, whoever manages it day to day.
