Which should you choose, Mojobase or Salesforce?
Choose Salesforce if
- You have a sales team working leads and opportunities, with quoting, forecasting and lead routing.
- You run email nurture campaigns and lead scoring next to the CRM.
- You expect to grow into custom objects, Flows, AppExchange and Salesforce's wider platform.
- You want a free CRM for up to two users.
Choose Mojobase if
- Selling is one job among several for the same few people, and nobody will keep a CRM up to date by hand.
- You want customers, support, invoices and email in one place, with one AI that sees all of it. Mojobase is built for 1 to 25 people, and it works well for teams up to 100.
- You'd like no contract and nothing to configure.
What's the real difference between Mojobase and Salesforce?
Salesforce is a CRM platform. Its small-business suites put accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities at the centre and connect sales, service, marketing, commerce and Slack around them, with Pro Suite opening custom objects, Flows, a sandbox and AppExchange. Records are kept by people and, more and more, by Salesforce's AI agents.
Mojobase is built for businesses where nobody keeps records. The customer list is made from the people you've written to and met; each person's page shows their recent mail, meetings, tasks, files and invoices, gathered live as whoever is looking. The AI uses that to draft the follow-up, flag who's gone quiet and prepare you for the next call. The trade-off is plain: no leads, opportunities, quotes or forecasts.
Which one costs less for a team of five?
Salesforce Starter Suite is $25 a user a month, so $125 for five, and Pro Suite is $100 a user a month billed annually with a contract. Salesforce lists both as starting prices with transaction fees, and Premier Support and some features are add-ons. Mojobase for five is $139 a month on the list price, or $105 for the first 10 companies, for life.
Salesforce's Starter covers CRM, service and marketing tools, with email and calendar sync from your Gmail or Outlook. Mojobase's price also covers the mailbox itself, team chat, documents, tasks and Stripe invoice tracking.
Where is Salesforce the better choice?
Salesforce is the better choice for a sales-led business that expects to scale. Lead assignment and routing, opportunity management, quoting and forecasting, email nurture campaigns, lead scoring and omni-channel service routing are all things Mojobase doesn't do. Pro Suite adds custom apps and objects, Flows and AppExchange, so the system can grow with a sales team. Mojobase is the better choice when the owner and a few colleagues sell, deliver and support, and the CRM should keep itself.
How does Mojobase keep a CRM without data entry?
By starting from what already happened. Mojobase counts someone once you've written to them or met them, so newsletters and cold pitches stay out. People found in a mailbox the whole team sees are added for everyone; people found only in your own mailbox show to you until you add them. Companies come from web domains, leaving out the big free mail providers. Stripe customers join through Settings → Connections, so a customer's subscription and invoices sit on the same page as their emails.
Questions people ask
Is Salesforce worth it for a small business?
It is if you sell through a pipeline and plan to grow into Salesforce's platform. Starter Suite at $25 a user a month includes email campaigns, lead scoring, sales flows and a connected Slack workspace. If no one has time to update a CRM, Mojobase's self-filling customer list may fit better.
How much does Salesforce cost for a small team?
Salesforce's small-business pricing shows Free Suite for up to two users, Starter Suite at $25 a user a month, billed monthly or annually, and Pro Suite at $100 a user a month billed annually with a contract. Salesforce lists these as starting prices, with transaction fees. Five users on Starter are $125 a month.
Does Mojobase have leads, opportunities and forecasts?
No. Mojobase tracks people and companies, not deals: last contact, who's owed a reply, who's gone quiet and the next meeting, all found from your email and calendar. Teams that forecast from opportunities should choose Salesforce.
Does Mojobase do marketing like Salesforce Starter?
No. Mojobase has no email campaigns, segmentation, drag-and-drop email builder or campaign analytics. It writes one email at a time, as a person would, with the AI drafting from the customer's history.
How do the AI agents differ?
Salesforce describes AI agents that follow up on leads, keep the pipeline updated and serve customers around the clock. Mojobase's AI drafts replies, suggests tasks, prepares meeting briefs and chases late invoices across the business, under rules you set per kind of change, with Activity and Undo.
