# Never forget a follow-up

Mojobase notices every email you send that's waiting on an answer. If nobody replies within two working days, the conversation comes back to your To do list with a follow-up already drafted, as a reply to your own message, mentioning what you sent. Customers who've gone quiet for 30 days are flagged too. You read each nudge and send it.

## How does Mojobase follow up on emails nobody answered, step by step?

1. ### It reads what you sent
The model reads each message you send once and decides whether it waits for something back. A quote, a question or a request does; “thanks” and “here it is” don't.
2. ### Out of the way while you wait
Conversations waiting on someone else fold under “Waiting on them”, so they don't crowd the mail that needs you today.
3. ### Back after two working days
If no reply has arrived two working days after your message, the conversation returns to To do. Saturday and Sunday don't count.
4. ### The nudge is already written
The morning sweep drafts the follow-up as a reply to your own message, so it goes to the same people in the same thread, and says what it's following up: the quote from Tuesday, the dates you asked about.
5. ### Customers who've gone quiet
Anyone you used to talk to regularly who's heard nothing for 30 days is flagged in Customers. Ask for check-ins and each draft picks up from your last conversation.
6. ### Promises you made, as tasks
“I'll send the revised proposal by Friday” in your own email is suggested as a task with that date, and once you send it, the AI suggests ticking it off with the sent email as evidence.
7. ### You decide what counts
The Follow up switch on any conversation overrides the model either way, and Archive takes a conversation off the list for good.

## What do you say to start it?

- “Who hasn't replied to me this week?”
- “Draft follow-ups to every quote I sent more than three days ago.”
- “Which customers have gone quiet this month? Draft a check-in to each.”
- “Stop following up on the Brightwater thread.”
- “What did I promise people last week that I haven't done yet?”

## What does a good follow-up after no response look like?

Short, specific and in the same thread. Here is the kind of draft Mojobase writes when a client hasn't answered a quote sent the Tuesday before:

| Part | In the draft | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Thread | A reply to your own message, to the same people | They see the quote right under it |
| Opening | “Just checking you got the quote for the spring planting I sent on Tuesday.” | Names the thing, not “just following up” |
| The ask | “If it works, a yes by Friday lets us hold the 14th for you.” | One clear next step, with a reason |
| Easy out | “If you'd like to change the scope, tell me what and I'll revise it.” | Makes replying easy |
| Tone | Your style note and the Handbook's tone of voice | Sounds like you, not a template |

## Why do follow-ups slip?

Because nothing reminds you of an email you sent. Inboxes are built around what arrives, so the quote you're waiting on disappears under everything new, and you notice a week later when the customer has gone with someone else. Mojobase watches what you sent as closely as what you received, and brings back exactly the conversations where the other person owes you an answer.

## Why does the whole business make follow-ups better?

Because the right follow-up depends on more than the thread. If the customer booked a call for tomorrow, the nudge can wait. If they have an open support conversation, a sales nudge would land badly. If the invoice for their last order is unpaid, you may want to mention it, or not. Mojobase's AI sees Calendar, Customers and Numbers beside the email, so its drafts take that into account, and it tells you when it decided a follow-up should wait.

## Questions people ask

### How long does Mojobase wait before suggesting a follow-up?

Two working days after your message. Weekends are skipped, so an email sent on Friday comes back on Tuesday if nobody has answered. You can switch Follow up on or off for any conversation yourself.

### Does Mojobase send follow-up emails automatically?

The follow-ups are drafts waiting in To do for you to read and send. Scheduled runs only ever write drafts and suggestions, and Mojobase enforces that rather than leaving it to the model.

### Is this the same as an email sequence tool?

No. Sequence tools send a set series of emails to many people. Mojobase follows up on your own one-to-one conversations, one draft at a time, written from what was actually said. It has no bulk sequences or campaigns.

### What should a follow-up email after no response say?

Keep it short, reply in the same thread, name the one thing you need and when, and make answering easy. Mojobase's drafts do that by default, in your tone, and mention the specific quote, date or question you're waiting on.
