## Why does a law firm need the AI to see everything?

Because a matter is spread across the client's emails, the documents, the dates you've entered and the tasks. “Where are we on Whitfield?” needs all four, and so does a useful client update. An AI that sees only the inbox writes a holding reply; one that sees only the files can't tell what was promised. ## How does Mojobase keep client matters confidential?

The AI and every agent see only what the person they work for can see, and AI has its own switch on each mailbox and calendar. An owner can't read a member's private mailboxes. Data is kept in Helsinki, Finland, on Hetzner's servers, each company's apart, with connected-account logins encrypted by the company's own key. AI providers, Anthropic or OpenAI, may not train on it. ## Questions people ask

### Can Mojobase do legal research?

No. Mojobase has no case law, statutes or legal research tools. Its AI answers from your own email, files, tasks and Handbook pages, and drafts from the firm's past work for a lawyer to review.

### Does Mojobase handle matter billing or trust accounting?

No. It has no time entries, matter billing or client money accounts. Numbers reads existing Stripe invoices and shows who owes what; it does not create or send invoices. Firms that bill by the hour keep their practice management system for billing.

### Does Mojobase run conflict checks or court deadlines?

No. It doesn't check conflicts of interest or calculate deadlines from court rules. Dates in Tasks and Calendar are the ones your team enters or accepts from a suggestion, and each suggestion links to its source.

### Does the AI send anything to clients by itself?

Replies, letters and updates arrive as drafts for a lawyer to read, edit and send. Scheduled runs only ever write drafts and suggestions, and Mojobase enforces that rather than leaving it to the model.
