# Mojobase for accounting firms

Mojobase runs an accounting firm's client admin, not its books: client email, the documents clients send, recurring deadlines as tasks, a booking link for client calls and invoices for your fees. ## Why does an accounting firm need the AI to see everything?

Because “is the Harlow return on track?” has three parts: the deadline task, the client's last email and whether the documents arrived. In separate tools, someone checks each one by hand. In Mojobase the AI reads all three, with the access of the person asking, and answers with links to each source. The same goes for chasing: it won't chase a client who emailed the statements yesterday, because it can see the email.

## What doesn't Mojobase do for an accounting firm?

It runs the client side of the practice, and nothing in the books. Plainly:

- **No bookkeeping, ledgers or reconciliations.** Keep your accounting software.
- **No tax preparation or filing,** and no payroll.
- **No client portal or e-signatures.** Clients send documents by email.
- **No time and billing from timesheets.** Create and send fee invoices in Stripe; Numbers reads them and shows who owes what.

## Where is client data kept?

On Mojobase's server in Helsinki, Finland, hosted by Hetzner, with each company's data kept apart from every other's. Logins and permissions for connected mailboxes and calendars are encrypted with a key that belongs to your company alone. The AI and every agent see only what the person they work for can see, and everything they do is recorded in Activity, with the agent's name.

## Questions people ask

### Does Mojobase do bookkeeping or tax returns?

No. Mojobase runs the firm's client email, documents and deadlines, and tracks its existing Stripe invoices. Invoice creation and sending stay in Stripe. Ledgers, reconciliations, tax preparation, filing and payroll stay in your accounting and tax software, which Mojobase doesn't connect to.

### Can clients upload documents to a portal?

No. Mojobase has no client portal or upload form. Clients send documents by email as they do today, and the AI reads those emails when it works out who still owes you what.

### Is client data used to train AI models?

No. Only the content a feature needs is sent to the AI provider running it, Anthropic or OpenAI, under terms that don't allow them to train on it. AI also has its own switch on each mailbox and calendar.

### What does Mojobase cost for a firm of six?

$164 a month at list price: $39 for the first person and $25 for each of the other five, with every app and the AI included. The first 10 companies pay $124 a month, for life.
