## Which should you choose, Mojobase or Zendesk?

### Choose Zendesk if

- You run support by phone, with IVR and call routing, or need SMS as a channel.
- You have a support team large enough for skills-based routing, quality assurance and workforce management.
- You want an AI agent answering most questions across messaging, email and voice, and you're fine paying per resolution.
- You support several brands or products from one help desk.

### Choose Mojobase if

- Whoever answers support also sells, invoices and plans the week, and wants one inbox with the customer's whole story beside it.
- You'd rather the AI drafted every answer and replied alone only on topics you choose. Mojobase is built for 1 to 25 people, and it works well for teams up to 100.
- You want one price per person for support and everything else, rather than per-agent seats plus AI resolutions.

## What's the real difference between Mojobase and Zendesk?

Zendesk is a dedicated help desk. It's built for teams whose job is support: tickets routed by skill, live chat, messaging and phone in one queue, quality scoring, workforce management and AI agents that resolve requests on their own. Its lowest plan, Support Team, describes itself as for teams that have outgrown a shared inbox.

Mojobase is for teams that haven't, and won't. In a business of a few people, the person answering support is also selling, invoicing and planning the week. Mojobase gives them a support Inbox in Customers, next to the email, calendar, tasks and invoices, so the AI drafting an answer knows the customer's last order, their unpaid invoice and the call you had last week.

## How does the AI compare?

Zendesk's AI agents answer customers across messaging, email and voice, and Zendesk bills for each automated resolution beyond the few each plan includes: 5 per agent a month on Support Team and Suite Team, 10 on Suite Professional. Copilot, which suggests next best actions to the people answering, is a separate add-on for Professional and higher plans.

Mojobase's support AI works under stricter rules, because a reply to a customer can't be undone. It answers only from your published Handbook pages, drafts for a person to send by default, and replies on its own only for topics a person has set to Auto. When it isn't sure, it hands the conversation to a person. Its work comes out of the AI allowance in the per-person price, shown as credits, and every reply is listed in Activity.

## Which one costs less for a team of five?

For email ticketing alone, Zendesk Support Team costs less: $19 an agent a month billed annually, $95 a month for five, or $25 per agent per month billed monthly. Live chat, messaging, telephony and the knowledge base start on Suite Team at $55 per agent per month billed annually, or $69 per agent billed monthly, and Suite Professional is $115 per agent billed annually or $149 per agent billed monthly. Mojobase for five is $139 a month, or $105 for the first 10 companies, for life.

The difference is what's included. Mojobase's price covers email, a CRM, tasks, documents, Stripe invoice tracking and reminder drafts, and team chat for everyone, not just support seats. Invoice creation and sending stay in Stripe. A Zendesk team pays separately for the other daily-work tools it needs.

## Where is Zendesk the better choice?

Zendesk is the better choice for support as a department. Phone support with an IVR phone tree, skills-based routing, AI quality scoring of every interaction, workforce management, approval workflows and a sandbox are all things Mojobase doesn't offer, and its marketplace lists more than 1,800 apps and integrations. Mojobase has no phone or SMS channel at all. If support is one of several hats a small team wears, Mojobase fits; if you employ a support team, Zendesk does.

## How do you move support from Zendesk to Mojobase?

You keep your support address. Connect the mailbox in Email Settings → Inboxes and set Who sees it to Everyone in the company. In Customers Settings → Support addresses, switch it to Support, and its new mail arrives in Customers' Inbox rather than Email's, so nobody answers twice. Write your answers to common questions as Handbook pages and publish them: they become your help center and the only thing the support AI answers from. Customers you've replied to before appear in Customers with their past emails, because Mojobase finds everyone you've written to.

## Questions people ask

### Is Mojobase a Zendesk alternative for small teams?

For email and website chat support in a small team, yes. Mojobase turns your support addresses into one Inbox with AI drafts from your Handbook, a public help center and each customer's history. It has no phone, IVR or SMS, and no skills-based routing, so call centers should stay on Zendesk.

### How does Zendesk charge for AI?

Per automated resolution: a request resolved with no escalation to a person. Each agent's plan includes 5 a month, or 10 on Suite Professional; extra resolutions are $1.50 each committed in advance or $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Copilot is a $50 add-on per agent per month, paid yearly, for Professional and higher plans.

### Which is cheaper for five people answering support?

Zendesk Support Team, for ticketing alone: $95 a month for five agents billed annually, or $125 monthly. Suite Team, with live chat, messaging and a knowledge base, is $55 an agent billed annually. Mojobase is $139 a month for five people, including email, CRM, tasks and documents.

### Does Mojobase's AI reply to customers on its own?

Only on the topics you set to Auto, such as order status or opening hours, and only from your published Handbook pages. Everything else is a draft a person sends, and the AI hands a conversation to a person when it isn't sure. Every reply is in Activity.

### Can I keep my support address if I move from Zendesk?

Yes. Connect support@ in Email Settings → Inboxes, or host it on your domain with Mojobase. Set Who sees it to Everyone in the company, then switch it to Support in Customers Settings → Support addresses. Replies keep the same address and Sent folder. Past Zendesk tickets stay in Zendesk.
