## What's the real difference between Mojobase and Shortwave?

Shortwave is an email client built around an AI assistant. It reads your Gmail, organises it into splits and bundles, writes in your style from your sent mail, searches years of history with AI, and checks your calendar to schedule. Teams share threads, comment and assign them. Everything still lives in Gmail.

Mojobase treats email as one part of the business. It can host your email on your own domain or read Gmail and Outlook, and its AI drafts with what surrounds a message: the sender's page in Customers, the meeting you had, the task due Friday, the invoice still unpaid, the refund policy in your Handbook. A Shortwave draft sounds like you; a Mojobase draft also knows what's true for that customer.

## How do the AI models and limits compare?

Shortwave makes the model part of the price. Free uses Claude Haiku, Business uses Standard intelligence with Claude Sonnet, Premier adds adaptive thinking and Max uses Claude Opus with three times the context. Use is metered per day, roughly 150 to 300 Standard requests on Business, and resets every 24 hours.

Mojobase lets you choose the model for everything, from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Hermes or your own setup, at the same price. Its AI allowance is monthly and shared by the company, shown as credits with a warning before it runs out; an owner can top up, or the company can use its own API key with a spending limit. Scheduled runs go through new mail every morning and draft what's needed, and they only ever write drafts and suggestions.

## Which one costs less for a team of five?

Five people on Shortwave Business are $150 a month, billed monthly; Premier is $45 a seat and Max $120. Mojobase for five is $139 a month, or $105 for the first 10 companies, for life.

For about the same money, Mojobase includes the calendar, team chat, documents, tasks, a CRM, a support inbox and Stripe invoice tracking, while Shortwave includes stronger models on the higher plans and deeper inbox tools.

## Where is Shortwave the better choice?

Shortwave is the better choice for Gmail users who want the most capable AI inbox. Splits, bundles, delivery schedules, AI filters that act on new mail from a prompt, AI search over the team's history, read statuses, link tracking and an MCP client that reaches Notion, Asana and HubSpot are all beyond Mojobase's email. Its free plan is a real start for one person. If your inbox is your job and you already have a CRM and task app, Shortwave fits; if your inbox is the front door to customers and Stripe invoices you want in view, Mojobase does more with it.

Shortwave has a Free individual plan. Pro is $18 a seat a month and, on the Business tab, Business is $30 a seat, Premier $45 and Max $120 a seat, billed monthly; no annual price is shown. One rate covers all of a person's email accounts. Mojobase is $39 for the first person and $25 for each after.

### Does Shortwave work with Outlook?

Shortwave requires a Gmail or Google Workspace sign-in; Yahoo, iCloud, Fastmail and Zoho work by forwarding to Gmail. Mojobase connects Gmail and Microsoft 365 directly, as well as other mailboxes, and can host your email on your own domain.

### How does Shortwave's AI quota work?
