## What's the real difference between Mojobase and ClickUp?

ClickUp is built around work you plan: a hierarchy of Spaces, Folders, Lists and Tasks, each task shown in any of 15 or more views, from Kanban boards to Gantt charts. Mojobase is built around work that arrives: the email asking for a quote, the meeting where someone promised a follow-up, the customer who hasn't paid. Its task list is deliberately simpler, and the AI fills it from what happens in the rest of the business.

So the question is where your tasks come from. If they come from a project plan, ClickUp's structure is the point. If they come from customers and suppliers, a task app that can't read the inbox is one more place to copy things into.

## How does the AI compare?

ClickUp Brain works inside the workspace: it writes, summarises, searches and automates across tasks and docs, and ClickUp offers Super Agents you can assign tasks to and Ambient Agents that watch workflows in the background. All of it draws on credits per user per month, pooled, and the amount depends on the plan.

Mojobase's AI works across the whole business. A customer's email asking for a revised quote by Thursday becomes a suggested task linked to that email; when you send the quote, the AI suggests ticking the task off and shows your reply as the evidence. "Plan my day" suggests a short focus list with a reason for each. Suggestions wait for a click unless you've set that kind of change to Auto, and everything is in Activity with Undo.

## Which one costs less for a team of five?

ClickUp costs less if you only need projects. Its Free Forever plan has unlimited members and 60 MB of storage; Core is $9 a user a month billed yearly, or $12 monthly; Business, with 1.5K Brain credits per user, is $17 billed yearly or $25 monthly, so $85 or $125 a month for five. Mojobase for five is $139 a month on the list price, or $105 for the first 10 companies.

The difference is what's in the box. Mojobase includes email, team chat, calendar, documents, a CRM, a support inbox, Stripe invoice tracking and the AI. A ClickUp team usually pays for a mail provider and a CRM beside it. Both teams still need an invoicing tool; Mojobase reads Stripe invoices rather than creating them.

## Where is ClickUp the better choice?

ClickUp is the better choice for teams that run real projects. Gantt charts, sprints, time tracking, resource management, timesheets, goals and advanced dashboards are all there, with up to 10K automations a month on Business. Mojobase has none of these: no board view, no dependencies chart, no time tracking. An agency managing client deliverables across many people, or a product team running sprints, will be better served by ClickUp, perhaps with Mojobase's email and customers beside it.

## Can ClickUp and Mojobase work together?

Yes, through your AI assistant. ClickUp's MCP server is available on all its plans, and Mojobase has one MCP server for the whole business. Add both to Claude or ChatGPT, and the assistant can read a customer's emails and invoices in Mojobase and update the project in ClickUp, each under the permissions of the person who connected it.

### Is Mojobase a project management tool like ClickUp?

Only partly. Mojobase Tasks has projects with sections, subtasks, one assignee per task, recurring tasks, reminders and labels, shown as lists and on the calendar. It has no boards, Gantt charts, sprints, time tracking or custom fields, which ClickUp includes. Teams that run complex projects should stay with ClickUp.

### How much does ClickUp's AI cost?

ClickUp Brain is tied to plan credits, pooled per workspace: trial credits on Free and Core, 1.5K credits per user a month on Business, 3K on Enterprise and 10K on Max at $100 a user billed yearly. Extra credits cost $10 per 10,000. Mojobase's AI is in the per-person price.

### Which is cheaper for a team of five?
